The registration requirements

 Hello everybody....
I would like to share my knowledge on the things you will need to register in the saudi medical council....
This is totally from my experience and from the fact that i saw none of the blogs giving information about the latest requirements and stuffs happening here...
The governing body is called saudi comission for health specialities. You can visit their website for more info.
If you are a doctor and you want to practise in saudi arabia, you absolutely require the schs license without which you will not be able to find work.
The absolute criteria is 1 year experience for expatriates in their speciality to register with the comission.
So...the list of requirements for a normal practioners is as follows:
1. Dataflow verification of your university certificate
2. Dataflow verification of your experience certificate if you are not a fresher
3.A valid BLS from saudi heart association
4. A valid medical malpractise insurance
5. Your high school certificate
6. Valid iqama copy
7. An introduction letter from your employer( only if you are working)
8.4 coloured passport size photos
9. Your original certificate with internship certificates and your transcripts
10. Payment of fees...

These are the requirements if you wish to write the sle exam inside the kingdom.

The approximate cost would be:
1. Malpractise insurance: 2000sr for a claim of 250000 saudi riyals...can be obtained from tawuniya or any other insurance companies.
2. BLS: register for the training class in the saudi heart association website...around 350 sr....you can select the class day and centre
3. Dataflow: 600 riyals for physicians
4. Schs fee: it varies for each speciality..for gp's its around 1600 sr

If you have submitted all these documents , and if everything is ok, they will give you an eligibilty number with username, password for scheduling your exam with pearson vue. Earlier it was prometric but at present its been conducted by pearson vue.
The cost of exam is around 400 sr( 90$)..
Plz inbox me if you want to know more about the exam for general practioners...i may be able to give you some tips for the exam.

If allah wills and you have passed the exam, check your status online in schs website in their e-service portal by entering your eligibility id..

Thanks....

  1. Assalam alaikum akhi, jazak Allahu khairun for the info u've provided, akhi I have few question related to the experience certificate, Question is I already have the saudi exam eligibility number for General practice for outside of saudi, I have submitted all the required documents during the process for getting the eligibility number, Now insha Allah very soon Im going to sit for the exam in my country, but the question is the experience certificate which I submitted is fake and now for the dataflow I am thinking of submitting my original certificate, and when I logged on my dataflow account which was provided to me by the SCFHS it asks for some scfhs number for adding experience certificate and if I submit it as a fresher its working normally without asking for the scfhs number, Now I dont know wat to do, Is authenticating the experience certificate mandatory? please guide me to get the license easily for the sake of Allah. Jazak Allahu khairun
